"My Dearest," is my first feature length script by far the most complex and intimate script I have written yet.

Set in The 19th Century, a young upper-class woman journeys to find her true love for another woman, whilst discovering the dark truths of her world.

Inspired by the female writers of the 1800s, and my fascination with Victorian culture, this Gothic LGBT+ story speaks volumes about reflecting upon the world today and questions how much the world has truly changed.

Set in the heart of Kentish woodlands and countryside, this story encumbers the hostile and mysterious nature of 1800s England. It begins to strip back ideas of class, and plays truthfully to what truly matters in the world - "we are all but humans at the end of the day..."

Crowdfunding for the feature film to be announced very soon!

"Merlot" is a modern Gothic short film that challenges the perception of its audience upon viewing.

Follow a couple prepare for the arrival of some dinner party guests when there becomes something strange about the wine they are drinking...

Find yourself immersed in an unnerving outlook on two individuals who appear to be somewhat challenged by something mysterious.

Filming to commence Autumn 2022!

Why is there such a pressure to be like someone else? Why do we live in a world where we can never escape the past? Can we ever be our true selves? Stomping Ground sheds light upon these questions and highlights the true pressure one faces in something so intimate and creative.

Follow Korey who has been cast as lead dancer in their academy when they begin to feel the haunting pressure of those who came before them.

A psychological thriller that brings to life the realities of one's mental struggle with the pressure of becoming something they are not meant to be.

Have you ever noticed how autobiographical literature can be? No matter how fictional it is?

Books is a short film focusing on an exploration of the idea that literature preserves life, and life as literature. It is a metaphorical piece that divulges the importance and impact of literature on our lives, and its relation to identity and ways in which we communicate with others.

Synopsis:

In a world where we communicate through books, a young man and woman struggle with their identity and try to find their true selves.

You were only waiting for this moment to arise...

The Sound of Us is a post-apocalyptic tale about a young girl, Sal, seeking closure with her recently deceased father. Sal is travelling to the coast in attempts to gain her closure by leaving her father’s guitar in the ocean. On the way, she faces a few obstacles and bumps into Parker, a runaway faction soldier.

It is always fun stretching yourself as an actor, so to play someone who is so far away from your own character is always attracting as you know it will be a challenge, and you can't shy away from them.

Sal

Sal has taught me that even in the darkest of places, there are people in any situation that are there to try and see the good in things.

Parker

Parker has taught me that female characters can be strong and in control, but that it is equally important for them to have balance. It is crucial to let people in and always find the joy in life, even when hard circumstances prevail.

NIGHT FALL

Night Fall focuses on Zoe who becomes suspicious of another relation her boyfriend, Andrew, is having. She then faces her deepest and darkest thoughts imagining her relationship, and her own impulsive nature. Question is: do you really trust her imaginings?

Night Fall is my first ever short film that is based on my original screenplay that I wrote back in April, of this year. I collaborated with some of my very close friends, who are some of the most creative and thoughtful people I know. This was the first experience we all had in our own roles, that we were able to contribute individually and help support different elements of the film itself.

I want Night Fall to be a thought provoking experience for my audience really getting to grips on their own opinion of the protagonist, Zoe. Paying attention to the way she responds in her relationship, and whether or not her "vision" is an elaboration of what she believes her relationship is like.

It is an experimental movie that is challenging and quite possibly contradictory in some ways. It is also a film that is an exploration of something that I believe puts into perspective the way in which we perceive the roles of those involved in a relationship like so. Stereotypically, in some cases, we are to victimise the female - which is immediate - but then we miss what actually may have been the cause of the relationship to turn out this way. Night Fall tries to explain this, fundamentally arguing that in some cases the complexity of a relationship is misunderstood in hurtful relationships.

Though, some may interpret this film as a social satire. A way of exploiting how genders in society are expected to behave. The way that Andrew is clearly "allowed" to mentally and physically prepare what he does in this film compared to the way that Zoe can only mentally repress, and prepare - but no physical action can take place. Everything dark in Zoe's mind is exploring how she wishes to physically hurt Andrew for his behaviour, but ultimately she knows she cannot do this in "reality".

So, can we ultimately sympathise with Zoe? Do we trust her?

My intentions for Night Fall was to be something that keeps the audience engaged and constantly placing together what they interpret about the protagonists' relationship - and whether or not it is believable.

I hope you all enjoyed it, and if you have any other interpretations on the film you would like to share please do in the comments below!
